Get Involved


     Getting involved is easy, and takes many forms. Here are a handful of ways for you to become active in your community:

Protecting trees/tonewoods:
- Support Forest Stewardship Counsel (FSC) partners
- Do your own research
- Share your research with others— through a blog for instance
- Be aware of and report illegal harvesting in state parks and public lands

Guitars:
- Support Forest Stewardship Counsel (FSC) partners
- Support companies that treat their workers & environment respectfully
- Support your local guitar stores
- Rebuild components/guitars, rather than replace
- Quality over quantity; poor craftsmanship is a sign of a poor spirit 

Music:
- Find your own musical voice
- Help others find theirs—teach!
- Play in a band
- Support local artists/ attend live performances
- Purchase music from local, independent businesses 

Sustainable Living:
- Become more aware of your choices 
- Be responsible, and accountable for your actions
- Do things own you, or do you own things?
- Build meaningful relationships within your community
- Be involved in your community
- Support sustainable business practices
- Support local businesses
- Pursue a healthy lifestyle
- Recycle/ reuse/ repurpose
- Reduce waste
- Learn something new
- Watch less television (it’s called programming for a reason)
